It takes some time, I wasn't sure either how to work this thing out but now it's getting clearer to me. Just log in on https://www.blogger.com/start and then start blogging!
Fiskars is turning yellow and red... The summer was completely hysterical for me, now the village is getting calmer, wonderful, deep concentration is possible again. But the summer was great, especially arriving back from rainy Ireland to a hot Kuubamo-party at Baklura. I'll put up some images from that soon..
However, the residency doesn't die with the summer, luckily! Yesterday Ulrika (current AIR) showed us a collection of video art pieces (www.voyeurcollective.com) in the residency cellar. The garage is the most perfect place for video/film showings, I hope this initiative goes on with upcoming residents, it was very interesting videos, thank you Ulrika!
Also got a mail from Esteban, he sent me this image from Fiskars, he's developing them as we speak, hope to see more (on this blog) as he gets them finished.

I think I told you all about me and cabinetmaker Tuulias project, the cabinets with photographs. Well, now we finally launched them on the Finnish interior fair Habitare (www.habitare.fi). I made a web site for the products, check them out on:

The next artists in residence are British textile artist Deepa Panchamia (October-November) and Belgian designer Fleur Swildens (October). Deepa would be interested in a collaborative project with someone in Fiskars. If you should feel interested, don't hesitate but contact Deepa. Deepa also has work in the Transparent exhibition.

Now I have to get going to Helsinki to work on my images for the upcoming photography exhibition at the Copper Smithy, opening 6.10. The theme of my images? Sauna of course.
